Pati Smith's background includes four years of training in nutrition at the Life Extension Research Center in New Jersey. There she specialized in the use of Applied Kinesiology and its application to nutrition.

To further develop her knowledge of wholistic health, she studied at the Himalayan Institute in Pennsylvania and the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Massachusetts. Additionally, she has studied at the Kushi Institute in Massachusetts to gain a better understanding of the Macrobiotic Food Plan.

Her interest in the relationship between live foods and good health has taken her to the Ann Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico as a participant in its Experiential Training Program on the Living Food Lifestyle and to the Optimum Health Institute in San Diego.

In an effort to further customize programs for each individual, Ms. Smith has explored the role blood type plays in our health by studying with the author of the book Eat Right for Your Type, Peter D'Adamo.

Ms. Smith has explored the connection between healing and the mind by studying at the Louise L. Hay Educational Institute in California and by attending numerous workshops led by Drs. Bernie Siegel, Wayne Dyer, and Deepak Chopra.
